Following a year of intensive strategic development, Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA is entering a new phase, with an enhanced focus on operations. "Our people are one of our greatest assets. Sales, operations and innovation
Thomas Støkken, currently head of strategy and business development in Statoil Fuel & Retail, has been appointed executive vice president (EVP) of sales and operations. "Thomas' extensive experience in business development, combined with his background from B2B sales and operations make him an ideal candidate for this role," says Jacob Schram. In his new role, Støkken will report to Schram.
Thomas Støkken joined Statoil Fuel & Retail in September 2010. Prior to this he was head of Bring Mail for Posten, the Norwegian post office, responsible for B2B sales, customer service, product and concept development, marketing and accounting. He has also worked in venture capital, business development and consulting.
Støkken holds a Masters degree (Siviløkonom) from Universität Nuernberg in Germany and is an AFA-certified financial analyst. He will take up his new role from 15 January 2012.
The current EVP of sales and operations, Karl Kristian Mydske, has been appointed as the company's innovation officer, responsible for all aspects of Statoil Fuel & Retail's innovation performance from framework development to driving and supporting a culture of innovation within the company.
Corporate services: HR & Staff
Sverre Rosén, currently CIO at Storebrand (and winner of the Computerworld, IDG and Gartner CIO of the Year award 2011) will join Statoil Fuel & Retail as Executive Vice President, HR & Staff from 1 March 2012. Rosén will report to CEO Jacob Schram.
"Sverre's particular expertise in IT and portfolio management further strengthens our corporate services and the role of EVP HR & Staff. We are pleased to welcome Sverre to our corporate executive team," says Jacob Schram.
Rosén's background is impressive. As CIO for Storebrand he is responsible for IT, Lean, project management and portfolio management. He has an MSc in computer science from NTNU, Trondheim.
Statoil Fuel & Retail's current EVP of HR & Staff, Jan Dahm-Simonsen, will be leaving the company to take on other opportunities, rejoining Statoil ASA. |
